Red C Whyte's music has slowly been sifting through the international minds and markets thru some lucky chances, to be on some surfing video's and film's. In particular, Jack McCoy's BLUE HORIZON, Tim Bonyington's "Teahu poo - Surfing's Greatest Day" and 5th Symphony Document to mention the latest. In the past, soundtracks have ended up on Litmus, Cold One + Two, Outer Limits and The Recipe.
Red sees himself in the surfing soundtrack niche and doesn't even adapt his songs that much... they're just natural surf epics. They all have a strong oceanic element to them. His dream would be to do an entire movie soundtrack, and enjoyable challenge!
Film producers would have a task sifting through all the recordings that the Redman has done over the years. There would be enough for Parts 1 and 4 ! Red goes to the movies himself at least once a week just to study and observe the interaction of music and film.
Besides being a bit of a move buff, he knows how the cinematic experience often is enhanced by the power of tantalising and repeating melodies and musical themes. If you're out there producing a movie and need some songs for it.... red whyte is your man.. or Red'll hunt'cha down... with his movie sniffing device !!!!
